In San Francisco, Google Inc., marks again the online search leaders’ latest
effort in able to extend their internet marketing strategy. Google Inc. will sell and choose from some of the advertisements, which are
shown in EchoStar Communications Corp.’s 13.1 million subscribers of their TV
satellite.
Under the deal, which is announced, last Tuesday, Google Inc. said that their
company hopes to prove the automated formula, which is said to help in boosting
their advertising network online, which they believed, can help their company
become a moneymaker in TV.
Keval Desai, the director of product
management for TV ads of Google Inc. said that the principles they have in the
Internet could also be applied to the TV business industry.
Google Inc.
which was a Mountain View based company started testing its advertising on the
television with the Asotund broadband in about 25,000 households in
Concord.
Google Inc. believed that their partnership with EchoStar’s Dish
network, which is known as the second largest U.S. satellite service should
provide a better and more improved springboard about $60 billion market for the
advertising in cable TV and broadcast of Google Inc.
On the other hand
Kevin Lee, the executive chairman for Did-It Search marketing, which is also
known for managing campaigns on online advertising said that this will surely
promotes a better chance in making the market excited.
In addition to
that, an advice from Chris Geraci, the U.S. director of national TV at
advertising agency OMD, stated that in order for Google Inc. to be significant
in their TV advertising, the company still needs to expand its reach by working
out with common distribution settings together with other providers of satellite
and cable.
Some of the companies that are already dependent on Google's
online advertising revenue are Comcast Corp. and Time Warner Inc.
But the
issues regarding Google’s plan to sell television advertisements created a
fundamental channel conflict.
